My first communication with Valarie Blake was in August, 2007.  My sister had died suddenly of lung cancer.  I was appointed Trustee of her Estate. This consisted of selling her house in El Segundo, a charming little house in a lovely neighborhood. 

I had talked to three realtors in the area and all of them were very impersonal and displayed little concern.  This made me feel like I was just another listing.  Also, never having done this before I needed some real guidance.

When I received a phone call from Valarie Blake, I had no idea who she was.  Apparently, through word of mouth, someone had her get in touch with me.  When we talked via telephone, I knew I had to meet this woman.  I am so glad I made this decision.  Not only was she concerned about my needs, but enthusiastic about the attributes of my sister's home.  The market being down, I was sometimes apprehensive about the outcome.  Not Valarie.  Her optimism was amazing and she said to hang in there -- it will happen.  It certainly did, our house sold. My younger sister, who is also an heir and I are so grateful.

Valarie is an intelligent, kind, trustworthy and giving person.  She was always there for me if I was in doubt or needed some clarification on any details.  I must also add she is aggressive but in a gentle way when it comes to representing her clients. 

She is a Broker who knows her stuff.  I would recommend Valarie to anyone and wish I had someone like her here in Northern California when it comes time to sell my house.

I am writing this letter of recommendation for Valarie Blake, Real Estate agent and Broker Extraordinaire!  It is rare nowadays to meet a person whom you feel immediately comfortable with, but that is what happened with Valarie and me.  She is definitely a "people" person and exudes a confidence and has a no nonsense approach in her business dealings that areally appealed to me.  She does not sit around and wait for listings to come to her; no, she's out there in the neighborhoods, knocking on doors to introduce herself and meet people in her area.  Some may be put off by this behavior, but my father was impressed enough to remember  Valarie when he wanted us to list his home for sale in Playa del Rey.

Valarie is the consummate professional and it really shows that she loves her work.  She is extremely organized and never failed to have all her "ducks in a row"; whether it was involving all the volumes of documents that needed signing or keeping us informed of continuous progress during the listing, showing and sale of the house.  Valarie found us painters, housekeepers and repair people to help get the house ready for sale, and she oversaw them too, as my father was not able and the rest of his family does not live in the area.  She also has lots of contacts for people to help with moving and disposal of household items and even took her own time and effort to list several items on her own computer to sell for us!  Perhaps the most incredible thing of all is that Valarie helped us personally, by working beside my family to help pack up my Dad's household items.  I think these efforts were above and beyond what any other real estate broker would do, and it shows her whole-hearted commitment to the successful sale of Dad's property.

Valarie Blake is a woman with a mission; to provide the best service possible in the sometimes long process involved in the sale of a property.  She exceeded all our expectations and I feel I have also found a friend.  As you can tell, I highly recommend Valarie to anyone who has need of a realtor/broker as she is an extraordinary person!
